Trailer Jacks level the trailer on uneven ground before loading an excavator, to support the trailer independently after the truck detaches , and to adjust deck height for drive-on ramps.Trailer Couplers have a locking latch mechanism and a reinforced design to handle the dynamic stress of loading heavy machinery.
Trailer Jacks feature a large, pivoting wheel or caster for easy maneuvering on pavement and ramps.Trailer Couplers are often galvanized. Proper sizing is critical, as the sudden stop when launching/retrieving a boat creates significant stress on the coupler and hitch.
A low-profile, swing-up jack is common to avoid dragging on steep driveway aprons. A standard ball coupler is used, but the focus is on a secure, rattle-free connection to protect the valuable cargo. For towing behind motorhomes , specialized couplers are used that connect directly to the towed vehicle's frame.
A sturdy, simple A-frame crank jack with a wheel is the workhorse. It needs to be reliable for multiple hitches/unhitches per day. Fold-down tongue jacks are common on smaller utility trailers to save space in crowded yards. The standard 2" ball coupler dominates. Key features include easy latching and durability against constant bumps, weather, and occasional overloads.
